How to Order a Book Online

Self-Registration for Temporary Library Card 

This is only for people who live in the Millstadt Library service area that do not already have a library card.

This card will only give you access to our digital resources, and since it is a temporary card it will expire in two months.

After you submit your request, please wait for the confirmation screen. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU WRITE DOWN THE TEMPORARY CARD NUMBER. If you do not keep the temporary card number, you will not be able to access the digital services. (We will NOT have access to this number.)

Step 1-

Click on this link to access the account log-on page for our database.

Step 2-

Click on "register now." A pop-up message that reads "you must be 13 or older" may appear, if so click "OK."

Step 3-

Select Millstadt Library as the home library. Type 62260 for the zip code. Click Continue.

Step 4-
The top of the page will read "you can pick up your card at the branch specified." We will not be making a physical card for you to pick up so you will not need to come to the library - this only gives access to the digital resources.

Filling out the Registration Form-

The required fields are marked with a red asterisk (*) in the Contact Information, Preferences, and Log-on Information sections.

  • Enter First Name, Middle Initial, Last Name
  • Enter Birth Date
  • Enter Address where it says “Street Name”
  • (You do not have to fill out the additional zip code numbers)
  • Enter your email address (you will not get a confirmation of your account, but we will. We can use this email to send you a confirmation.)
  • Enter at least one phone number
  • (You do not need to set any preferences)
  • Enter your Driver’s License Number (for minors above the age of 13, this number can be their parent’s or guardian’s)
  • Enter a Username
  • Enter a Password (we recommend using the last four digits of your phone number)
  • Enter the password again
  • Submit

Step 5-

Once you have submitted your registration form, you will get a confirmation page. You will NOT get an email confirming that the form was submitted. If your page shows the image below, that means you successfully submitted the form.

Cloud Library

You can either Download the Cloud Library App from the Apple App Store, Google Play, or go to YourCloudLibrary.com for access.

How to Access

  • Select your country: USA
  • Select your state: Illinois
  • Select your library: Illinois Heartland Library System
  • Log in: Library Bar Code Number & Pin (If you forget your pin or have other troubles, contact us.)

How it Works

  • Download the app on up to 5 devices (your borrowed items will sync on each one)
  • Borrow up to 5 items
  • Place holds on up to 5 items
  • Return items early by hitting the Return tab under My Books
  • Items will automatically expire when due
  • There are NEVER any late fees
